North Korea has hit back at Donald Trump’s taunt sayingt he has a “bigger and more powerful” nuclear button than Kim Jong-Un.
The isolated country’s state-run media said the US president’s tweet was the “spasm of a lunatic”.
Rodong Sinmun, the ruling party newspaper, lashed out at Mr Trump’s tweet that said: “I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”
“He is making [a] bluff only to be diagnosed as a psychopath.”
Mr Trump’s outburst on January 3 came after Kim, 33, boasted on New Year’s Day that he had a nuclear button on his desk and that the whole of America was within range.
The dictator had claimed: “The United States can never fight a war against me and our state.”
Since taking office a year ago, Mr Trump has branded Kim a “Little Rocket Man” and called him “short and fat”.
Kim has meanwhile called the president, 71, a “mentally deranged dotard” and a “frightened dog”.
